Android 4.4 KITKAT unofficial built for Galaxy S4

All the users of Samsung galaxy S4 now can get busy flashing a leaked custom ROM to get almost the same effect. An unofficial build of CyanogenMod 11 has appeared on XDA Developers. The only things you won't see in the CyanogenMod 11 build if you flash it on your S4 are, according to the developer, the IR Blaster, screen rotation and proximity sensor functionality. Not bad considering Samsung's 4.3 firmware for the Galaxy S3 has battery issues, app crashes, device freezes and crazy instability. And they've been working on it for months, not weeks.

Note: *****This rom may not be used as daily rom****

Android 4.4 to come with White Status icons...

With Android 4.4 KITKAT, Google brought a ton of changes. Most of those were new features and under-the-hood goodness, but Google also brought a few significant aesthetic changes that had some people a little uneasy. For starters, they eliminated the blue and decided that white was going to be the one, and only, color for things like keyboard text, status bar text and icons, and the trace trail inside the keyboard.

Another key change Google made was moving the network status indicators from the status bar to within the quick settings toggle menu. A lot of people might not have ever noticed it on their current phones, but the arrows on the network icon (whether you were on 4G/3G or WiFi) would light up whenever bits of data were being transferred — up is upload, and down is download, natch. Beyond that, the network icon would turn gray whenever access to the Google Cloud Messaging service was not available (that is, the protocol that handles push notifications through Google’s system).
These weren’t just random changes, though, as Google’s Dan Sandler thankfully reminds us that everything happens for a reason. In the comments thread for this Google+ post, Sandler gives a pretty in-depth explanation about it all. Long story short?
A more neutral color scheme makes it so that the OS doesn’t clash much with an app’s custom look, and the network indicators were confusing for a lot of casual users, so they tucked it into a secondary menu where the geeks can find them (if they really need them).

4.3 Update Still remains as a dream for Samsung Galaxy S3 Users..

Yes, all the users of Samsung Galaxy S3 are eagerly waiting to see when the heck they're finally going to get the long, long, long overdue Android 4.3 update on the Galaxy S3. Already some of the users of UK started to update their phone with the 4.3 update they got but the final result they got is bricking their phones. Due to this reason Samsung customer care centers are facing the angry phone calls of the customers. So all the users of  Samsung Galaxy S3 u need to still wait for a stable official release & to the people who cannot wait you always have a better option XDA FORUM. Just under the development section you will find lots of custom roms.
Happy rooting guys...  :)

Samsung and Lg running on the same track : SAMSUNG GALAXY ROUND G910S & LG G FLEX

Both the multinational companies Samsung and LG are running on the same track to create a new era in the world of smartphones.Curved Screens which people thought will always be a dream has now come into reality with the new smartphones SAMSUNG GALAXY ROUND G910S & LG G FLEX.
  1. GALAXY ROUND G910SThe Samsung Galaxy Round was the second announced and the first released curved smartphone on the market. Like its LG G Flex rival, the Galaxy Round was recently announced and released in Korea. And while LG's curved phone will make its way to Europe, USA and China soon, Samsung has so far announced no plans to expand the Round availability outside of Korea. There's a chance Samsung to decide to go global with the Galaxy Round due to the obvious wow factor the device brings in overseas markets. More than likely, the Galaxy Round will be a precursor of a more capable international version built to take advantage of any momentum gained by this first generation flexible display device.

Pertaining to the curved display, Samsung has introduced a feature called Roll Effect. The feature enables users to view missed calls, battery life, date and time even when the smartphone is tilted on a flat surface with the screen off. The Bounce UX lets you control music without turning on the display. Users can tap on the left side to go back a track and touch the right side to move forward. With the Side Mirror feature, users can view additional information about videos or images when they tilt the phone from side to side. It also comes with the Multi Window feature, allowing users to open more than one application on the screen.

2.   LG G FLEXEager for some curved screen action? Why don’t you have an LG G Flex ? It will still cost you dearly, but at least you don’t have to travel to Korea to get it any more. The smartphone has just gone on sale in the US for a few dollars north of $1000.Curious as the curved smartphone might be, it’s really hard to recommend spending so much money on a version not even meant for sale in that market. The LG G Flex has just cleared the FCC, which aligns nicely with previous rumors, which suggested that it will be officially hitting AT&T, Sprint and Verizon in January. So unless you absolutely have to have a curved smartphone for Christmas, you are better off waiting for a couple of months more.

Conclusion:
Considering the specs, the Galaxy Round has an upper hand with its 1080p display, higher pixel density, slimmer form factor and 3GB of RAM. On the other hand, the LG G Flex comes with an innovative design borrowed from the G2 and a better battery. However, people buying these phones would look forward to a design and features that complements the curved display. Both companies have ensured that there are ample of such features. The LG G Flex is vertically curved while the Galaxy round is horizontally curved, giving potential buyers another aspect to debate over. Samsung's curved display, it must be said, is more unusual than LG's. Ultimately, it will also boil down to price. If LG manages to out-price the Round, then it could have a winner on its hands. Either way, with both phones only launching in Korea at the moment, the competition could be restricted to the homeground alone.
